Hi! I’m Kait!
And as simple as it sounds, I love taking photographs!
I learned the importance of photography’s role in capturing life’s key moments, demonstrated by an endless collection of photos my mother kept, and watching that collection grow with me and my family. The practice of capturing an exact moment turned into an art form for me. It wasn’t too long into college when I realized this wasn’t just a hobby, it is my dream job.
Now I have over a decade of experience in all types of photography, including weddings, maternity, newborns, senior portraiture, dance, food, and more. I’ve traveled internationally for dance conventions, and worked with restaurant chefs and sommelier’s to photograph their menu specialities. Regardless of where my job brings me, my real passion is in my local community and the relationships I build here at home. To many, I’m their ‘family photographer’, and the place that holds in my heart is a very important aspect of who I am. Nothing has been more gratifying than seeing my community’s families grow with me. “I hired Kayte for a homeschool “not back to school” photo shoot as well as family photo sessions for the families in my homeschool group. The first was 24 kids back to back.
